Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the extra care we take because children are involved.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

VanSpark ("we", "us", "our") is an independent educational initiative offering screen-free learning activities, printable digital worksheets and a daily Brain Challenge for children aged 3 to 12, at prices listed in Indian Rupees. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written for the adults who use VanSpark — because on VanSpark, it is always a parent or guardian who is in charge.

1. A Parents-First Promise

We design for children but we deal only with adults. Accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, purchases are made by adults, and all forms on this site are meant to be completed by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and we never ask for a child's full name, date of birth, photograph, school name or address anywhere on the site. The only child-related information we use is an age band (Ages 3-5, 6-8 or 9-12) chosen by the parent so that activities and challenges match the child's stage.

2. Information We Collect

  • Contact enquiries: name, email address, optional phone number, and your message, so we can reply to you.
  • Account details: the parent's email address and a login PIN, which is stored only in securely hashed form.
  • Order information: the products or subscription you bought, amounts paid, and payment reference numbers returned by our payment provider. We never see or store your card, UPI or netbanking credentials.
  • Newsletter subscription: your email address, with your consent.
  • Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above solely to run VanSpark: delivering purchased digital worksheets, operating Brain Challenge subscriptions, answering enquiries, sending the newsletter you asked for, keeping accounts secure, and meeting our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking on this site.

4. Payments via Razorpay

Online payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. When you pay, you share your payment details directly with Razorpay under their own privacy policy; we receive only a confirmation of payment and reference identifiers. Please review Razorpay's privacy policy for details of how they handle payment data.

5. Cookies

We use one essential session cookie so that logins and forms work. It contains no advertising identifiers and expires when your browser session ends. Blocking it will prevent signing in and purchasing.

6. Sharing and Service Providers

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the site — our hosting provider, our payment provider (Razorpay), and our email delivery provider — and only to the extent needed for them to do their job. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

7. Data Retention

Order and payment records are retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to resolve them. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept while your account is active; you may ask us to delete it at any time (see below), subject to records we must keep by law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your family, to unsubscribe from the newsletter, or to close your account. Contact us through the Contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

9. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, store login PINs only as secure hashes, keep purchased files outside the public web space, and restrict administrative access. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we work to protect your family's information with sensible, proportionate measures.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy we will update it on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
